About the Business
Glenstone has been a successful property investment business since 1970, however the company can trace its history back more than 100 years.
Glenstone Property was born out of the retail shoe chain Hiltons. It retained shop freeholds when Hiltons listed on the London stock market. In the four decades since, Glenstone has evolved and grown these investments into an attractive and balanced portfolio of High Street property.
Glenstone's primary investments remain in market towns across the UK. We use our experience and unrivalled knowledge of these towns to unearth value and to enhance the quality of our holdings through active management. We have a successful track record of acquiring and reshaping property portfolios, for example 21 Etam stores were purchased in 2002 for £31m and another portfolio of 11 stores acquired in 2007 for £17m. While our main focus is on investing for long term income, our Frankton House subsidiary invests in shorter term development projects.
